Bill and I stopped in Clarksville yesterday on the return from the lunch ride to Mt. Magazine to visit with the hotel.

They have about 12 rooms booked that we know of.  Some members called and did not request the group rate. They were nice enough to go through the list and lower the rates for those members.  We may not have guessed everyone, so please ask about your rate when checking in at the rally.

The Italian restaurant next door has not yet re-opened.  It was our favorite Friday night dinner location.  It is set to reopen soon, not sure if it will be in time for us.  The Mexican restaurant will be our Saturday dinner spot again since their margaritas are a staple.

If you have not booked your room, please do so soon.  They are not holding a block of rooms this year, but still have some vacancies. There is a wedding party that will also be at the hotel that weekend.

We hope to see you October 12th.

Hey John,
Haven't heard from Gayla & Bill if they have a planned lunch stop/route and this group is known sometimes for changing plans too.  If you are not from Arkansas and haven't ridden these roads there are so many good ones.  103, 215, 123, 21, 16, just about anything north of 40 from Clarksville and even a couple south too.

I may put a route or two of my own together or just put in a couple dozen way points that I know will allow me to custom build one once I get there Friday and we've discussed what folks are thinking.
But I'm just one of those that know all the roads and stuff but being a bit slower than others like to have my stuff planned out too.

See you in Clarksville.

We have a reservation for dinner Saturday night at the Mexican restaurant next door.  It is starting to look like we may need to increase the headcount for them as soon as we determine how many. We made the reservation for 20.
For Friday night - a suggestion has been made to order pizza.  Remember Walmart has beer and wine.  Liquor stores are not convenient, so you may want to stop on the way to purchase for your AFTER riding pleasure.
Bill is working on the lunch routes, the options which seem to be everyone's favorites are Fergusons in Gilbert and the Ozark Café in Jasper.  We typically make a rough plan and let the group decide.  Fergusons would be a route of 21 - 123- 16- 27 - 333 -65.   Ozark Café would be 21 - 74 - 7.

Remember this is a Just For Fun Event - so we keep it flexible for the group.
