Title: RKA has joined the flock
Post by: Richardrka on March 08, 2018, 09:19:46 AM
 HI MSTA!!

I posted this on the Facebook page but thought I would post thesame message here hope it is not tooooo redundant
Richard & Kathy here from RKA.
We have arisen from the black hole of non-participation!
I have joined the club, registered for La Crosse, I will have vendor space there, AND will be a presenter speaking about communications. RKA is shipping product to the hotel and I am leaving the big rig at home and riding my BMWR1200RT! This getting old is not for crybabies so I thought I better do a little “Walk about” this year.”

Before you ask I understand you would rather see Kathy than me. But somebody has to hold the fort down as I will be out of the shop for almost two weeks on this trip.

Kathy and I have been associated with the MSTA before most of you were born! Here is photos of STAR 1991 and STAR 1992, One is at Mammoth Lakes Resort in California, the other is at Avon with the FIRST rig … a beat-up Dodge van and a homemade trailer with Kathy’s 906 Ducati PASO, my newly acquired 1990 Honda Transalp I purchased from Lynn, and a NEW GSXR 750 stuffed in the trailer as Lynn’s Transalp would not fit in the trailer box

Moose ….. Remember the ride to Leadville!!

Anyway I am looking forward to seeing all the OLD folks and meeting the NEW folks SEE YA THERE.

Welcome back to the fold and look forward to seeing you in LaCrosse. I think the first time I saw you and your product was at Laguna Seca Raceway back in the late 1980's or early 90's.

" Kathy and I have been associated with the MSTA before most of you were born! "

Boy you have been gone from the MSTA for a while if you think the membership is that young :)  Few are under 50, at 53 I'm one of the younger members at many events.

I gotta baby brother he's just a kid 50ish ;-)
Your bother hit the nail on the head.
We go to a lot of events sponser clubs and forums been around a day or two.

WHERE ARE THE YOUNG PEOPLE?

This is a BIG concern in the BMW community.
Last year we had two riders bring kids, one a grandson and one a daughter, Then our Back roads magazine wrote a little ditty
I had them write stories for our July Newsletter check it out.

Welcome back, Richard. I'm still happily using one of your tankbags that I've had for many years.

Welcome back, Richard. I'm still happily using one of your tankbags that I've had for many years.

And I'm the second owner (going on 3 years I believe) of a small tail bag which gets occasional use on my VFR. Great products.
