I acquired a 660 from my former riding friend, Randy Logan, when he quit riding 3 years ago. If someone is looking for a solid performing unit, the 660 is a good option. The only problem is that the cycle mounts have become being made of unobtainium and are getting really hard to come by. They'll run for a while on battery, but not nearly all day. A mount is a necessity.

Not trying to hi-jack the tread, but I'd like to give a BIG shout out to Randy Logan of "Logan's Magic Shoe Repair."  He transformed the once slippery soles of my new riding boots and did the same for Deb's boots!

You can find 660 mounts on eBay

On my dual sports, I just use the readily available auto mounts and run a 12 volt USB cable to it. They are readily available, also. That way I use the 660 on all 3 bikes without having to buy the expensive motorcycle cradles.

Was thinking to do the same when I want to use my 660 on another bike.

Also not trying to hijack the thread...but if you want Randy Logan to redo your riding boots or whatever, send him what you need real soon. He's planning on shutting down the shop at the end of this year. Let's keep him busy until then, eh?

I just got my Darien pants back from him after he replaced the zipper pulls on them. Those long zippers take a lot of abuse, wear, and tear. If you know what you're doing and have the stuff, as does he, he'll turn zippers that have jammed up or quit working into feeling just like new.

The only glitch is that since the 660 is then mounted in the auto cradle, you will get a prompt when turning it on that asks if you want to switch to auto mode. I select NO and it then stays in motorcycle mode.

I'm still learning about the 660, so I appreciate that info, P.B. I've been using both the 660 and a newish Zumo 395 on the bikes, but have mostly used the 395 in the 4-wheeler.

But I've been swapping the unit and mount together from bike to bike. I even have a Ram clamp mount that I move between some of the bikes (some have permanent ball mounts).
