2018 Austin MotoGP (April 20-22)
« on: November 15, 2017, 02:48:51 PM »
Not sure if this is the best place for this, but I trust the moderators will move it if necessary.

I just got an e-mail from our guy at Circuit of the Americas.  Austin MotoGP tickes are now on sale to previous purchasers.  If you'd like to purchase tickets for 2018 (April 20-22) before they go on sale to the general public, contact Eli Crevelone at (512) 655-6262.  If you want an isle seat, or a specific section, it's good to get in early.  Reserved seats run from $149 to $189, with General Admission tickets at $89 (if you buy them early.)  We're back in Turn 15 this year, Section 17, Row 22. (Motorcycle parking if free, by the way.) If you've never been to a MotoGP, you need to experience it.  COTA is a great circuit, and Austin is pretty cool for the time you're not at the track.  We've been every year since MotoGP came to Austin, and always had a good time.

COTA is an amazing track.  Very nice facility. I was there in Sep for the WEC races and in Oct for F1.  I worked as an Official for SCCA Pro Racing for the support races of F4.  We had our paddock inside tunnel 2 and could watch as the cars went from turn 3-7. It was the center of loud noise with the track also behind us.  Love that sound when the vintage F1 cars took to the track.
