I'll second that emotion !!! I was great event and I had a wonderful time. The bike winner was there which makes it extra fun. The routes were good, these aren't the Smokey Mountains mind you but it was beautiful. The people of Wisconsin are very friendly. The hotel was awesome and very accommodating. The only thing to make it better is if more of you could have made it.
Hey, there's always NEXT year!!!

My thanks also to the whole staff of volunteers who put this on.   TM

Agree with above. Especially liked variety of restaurants within walking distance. Well done!

And we got out just in the nick of time because the upper Midwest is getting loads of rain this weekend.

Yep...it chased Tom and I out yesterday morning.  Tom had to ride through some really heavy rain and lightning for the first 60 miles or so.  I know because I was having a hard time seeing though my windshield, had to turn my radio up loader, and didn’t need any of my AC when I was driving through it...LOL.   But that’s OK because I did have to turn my AC on when going through central Illinois and Indiana.

I want to send a shout out to all of the ATTENDEES!  What a great group of people!  We had 5 days of very few problems, very few complaints.  Lots of smiles and lots of laughter.  I think that everyone enjoyed themselves based on what I saw and heard.  One of the most common questions was...”when are we coming back?”

All the attendees I talked to about that location (town & hotel) raved about it and it was common for them to ask "When are we coming back?"  I loved being able to walk to eateries of my choice plus the hotel restaurant/bar was also good.  I wanted to try the Coney Island Hot Dog place, mainly because I've never had a Coney Island hot dog, but just ran out of time.

Again, many thanks to all who made it possible.

Great comments here everyone!
Harry puts out a survey after each STAR to get your thoughts. Please take some time to give your feedback as this will let the EC tailor future STAR’s to your liking. -JEP-

Exactly. When you get the email of the survey, respond. It will help smooth any wrinkles and if you don't give your feedback you have no right to complain later. I'm keeping my eyes out for that survey as I have lots of input to give.

Survey was sent today.  If you do not see it, check your Spam folder.  It may be in there like mine went there.

Please Please Please take the time to do the survey, it is very short and should only take a couple of minutes.

But one thing I especially ask you all to consider is future STAR location suggestions....especially for one out “west”.  Please give any suggestions along this line that you might have.

I know we don't have a huge number of folks there to provide support for an event, and it's a really long haul for a membership that is eastern-centric (I know it's not a word, but I'll bet you can figure out what I mean), but I'd like to see another STAR in California. I wasn't yet a member in 1986 to go to Tahoe or in 1991 for Mammoth Lakes. And in 2004, again in Mammoth Lakes, I had conflicts that kept me from attending. I'm now at a point in my life that short of some health problem or other life changing issue, I'd go.

I got mine yesterday and already completed and submitted. West is a tough one to call. If at normal dates have to be careful how far north and into mountainous areas due to weather. Other than So Cal and Salt Lake City, I've never lived or ridden around there.
