Back when I had my KLR there was a product like this but you used two 2 liter bottles that you filled with water. That way you also had drinking water if you needed it.

That thing is just a ripoff of Ray Pope's old "Sweet Cheeks" product. I had one on my Suz DR350 at Moab in 2005, used it for several years till I got the Rick Mayer seat for the DRZ.

http://cycle-analyst.com/sweetcheeks  I chose to ignore the ridiculous disclaimer on the site which I assume is there only for litigious survival by the proprietor.

I have one of these (Sweet Cheeks, not the seemingly over priced MOESOF unit in the OP)  for my DR650, I use the 2 liter bottles filled with water because I usually ride the DR in desert areas. One could easily substitute foam cylinders or DIY PVC storage tubes in place of the water bottles. If you go down, the up-hill bottle will flop over the seat but that's not much of a problem really. It certainly makes the seat wider and more supportive. For a really long trip on pavement, I've been known to move  the Airhawk R from my C14 over to atop the Sweet Cheek unit for pure Goldwing luxury on the DR.  :) :) :)

I like the idea of storing maps  etc.. in the Sweet Cheeks bottle pockets,  The MOESOF may be over-built.
