Arkansas / Bikes Blues and Bar-B-que
« Last post by Neirbog on September 23, 2018, 10:31:53 AM »

Bikes, Blues and Bar-B-que is now the second largest motorcycle rally in the country. The proceeds go to local charities and shelters.
It starts on Wednesday, Sept 26th thru Saturday the 29th.
The event locations are everywhere in Fayetteville - Dickson street, Baum stadium, the fairgrounds. Arvest park in Springdale, Indian and Harley dealerships and Frisco park in Rogers, etc.

The bike show at BBBQ will be in downtown Rogers on Saturday.  It is at Frisco park downtown near the stage.

The demo rides are everyday at Baum Stadium.

You can see all the schedules for bands at each stage at the BBBQ website.

We are planning to do a demo ride or two Saturday morning, go to the bike show and if the timing works out - go park and watch the parade of power parade.  We usually sit near the Walgreens at 71 and Township (and yes, eat ice cream there).

Anyone interested that wants more info - please shoot me an email.

Welcome Jerry!  We have many BMW Riders and many RA members in our group, but always welcome more.....especially ones that like to RIDE!  😁

We are all about riding and each of us have our favorite bikes (Sometimes it’s tne NEXT one we get..lol) to do that riding on. Many (most?) of our members are multibike owners and do all kinds of riding...road, dirt, race, etc.  Sport Touring is our focus and purpose.  We want to promote it and provide our members with ample opportunities to do it.

I look forward to meeting you and to getting your ideas and thoughts.

Hello from the eye of Hurricane Florence.  We made it through another one.

I am Jerry.  I have been riding motorcycles since 1957; BMWs since 1967.  I own several brands of bikes; but do most of my distance rides on a BMW R1200RT.  I passed the million mile mark years ago; but I do not keep a running log of my rides; I just ride.

I am on the Board of Trustees of BMWRA and I am the Coordinator of the BMWRA Regional Directors.

I will be at the Appalachian Mountain Riders Rally in Low Gap, NC next weekend.  I will also be at the Barber Vintage Festival in a couple of weeks.

I look forward to seeing you on the road.

Well, I think its fine, actually that kids don't want to drive.

Let them all live in their tiny apartments in huge congested cities, and they can commute on their sardine cans on rails - or in their self-driving elevator cars, or just work from home in their closets, or do whatever it is they think is trendy or prestigious.   I hope they live their entire lives without leaving the shelter of their glass skyscrapers, or their online gaming universe.   If they like the Matrix so much, they are more than welcome to live in it!!

That means the real world and the back roads are ours to enjoy in peace.
