Unless there has been a lot of Cincinnati people not renew their memberships, there would appear to be some missing from the map.

Note that there is not a pin for every member, there is a pin for every locale that contains a member.  So, for example, there's one pin for my zip code even though we have more than one member in town.

If you click on a flag, the number of people there will appear at the top left corner.  Six is the highest number at any zip code.

Florida / MSTA Daytona Bike Week Lunch
« Last post by RIDEMYST on Yesterday at 10:11:37 AM »
When: Thursday, March 14, 2019
11:30am – 1:30pm

Where: 1884 Restaurant and Bar
12 E Magnolia Ave, Eustis, FL 32726, USA

Description: FL MSTA has arranged another Bike Week lunch in the little town of Eustis, about an hour’s ride west of Daytona.

Last year, of the nineteen riders who attended, about half were from out of state.  It was nice to get caught up with old friends and meet new.  There was no shortage of stories.  And everyone agreed that the 1884 Restaurant and Bar was a fabulous place.  So, we are going back for 2019.

Check their website at  http://www.1884restaurantandbar.com/. They can easily accommodate very large gatherings.  We have a reservation for 25 but let’s just see how big of a crowd we can bring in 2019.

Cr42 west of Deland is a delight if you’re coming from Daytona.  On street parking was a bit limited last year.  1884 suggests using the parking garage adjacent an ACE Hardware located  behind the restaurant and across street (South side of Sr44 / E. Orange).

Here is a more spread out map by zip code.  Cincinnati, Dayton and Columbus look a bit different.

Tom....We could probably be able to set up an MSTA booth at the show.  I will see Tim Burke of the Cincy Café Club this coming Wednesday and I can ask him about it.  He has allowed me to put up some information about the club before. If they have the space, I don't think it will be any problem.

Indeed cool. Looks like the Cincinnati area needs some work. Hmmm, maybe a booth at the Cafe' Race show?? Is that possible ?  TM

Ohio / Ohio Member Map Dec. 2018
« Last post by doug mcpeek on December 09, 2018, 11:43:24 PM »
Using Google My Maps I put a flag on every town inhabited by a current Ohio member of the MSTA.  Columbus has 15 members, Dayton 13 and several towns have 3-5, but most of the map points represent a single member.  The flags are on the towns, no addresses were used.  You can access the map by clicking the link below:

STAR 2019 / Re: STAR 2019 dates and venue
« Last post by Patmo on December 09, 2018, 05:41:39 PM »

I had someone who wanted to contact the Star 2019 committee or coordinator so they could volunteer.

You stated "By the way, the local team already has everything either done or already in the works.  They are totally on top of what needs to be done!"

So is the local team a secret! That the general membership is not to be aware of.
As a long time member I'd like to be aware of who is on the team and how to contact them.

It’s no secret that finding people to help out on many things is not hard to do.  Most of the members are ready willing and able to help when asked.

However, gettimg someone to step up and say, “I’ll take charge” is a whole different story.  Not complaining.  People have honest and legitimate reasons for not wanting to be THE person.  Believe me, I understand!  But for that reason, we don’t have “A” committee.  What we do have is some members, mostly local to the area, that have stepped up to help out  in specific areas....routes, lunch, etc.....that need to be set up prior to the event.  Dennis has been the Main coordinator of this so far.  He would “the” person to contact right now.  We will certainly need lots of people to help out AT the event and in the area closer to the time of the event, so additional volunteers are always needed and always welcome.

One thing we do need is someone to organize the raffle ticket sales AT the event.  We will be sending out tickets to all members sometime in January, and people will be able to buy tickets when they register online prior to the event, but we will still need someone to help, coordinate it there, along with people willing to help out.  Anyone interested in that can contact me.  Pat Mogavero

But ANY member, long term or short term or brand new, can contact me via email or phone or PM anytime they want...not just about STAR either.  I’m sure the other people in the club, no matter what position they hold, feel the same way.
