Friday Night Cookout Time
« on: August 23, 2016, 12:50:19 PM »
I am not sure what time I will be arriving at the MPFB (Hopefully before dark) but I was wondering what time the cookout is normally held so I can try and be there by that time if possible.

TIA

Rick,

I'd say dinner around 6-6:30. I've also seen them have food for late arrivals, but that's not a gaurantee. We definitely eat before dark. ;)

Jon Campbell does post on the forum but not sure if he'll see it in time. Might want to email him or give a call his info was on the registration form and in the blue book. I had one handy so I sent you a PM with that info

Rick,
No worries, we serve late into the evening to take care of those that get in late.

Yep, what Jon said...

While we START serving at 6, that doesn't mean everyone need rush to get served right at 6!  As long as there are burgers to flip we'll be flippin'...  See you there!

Thanks Jon and Woovis!!  8)

Looking forward to seeing everyone up there. Sadly it has taken me all these years to finally make it up for a Flyby, but as they say "Better late than never"

See you in Marietta,

They don't all need to rush up there at once?  Well yeah but if you get in their way....

I recall one year we went on an exceptionally long ride on Saturday, got back after dark. Janet saw us and said "we saved you some food". And another year somebody broke down and Pat M and some others went to rescue that rider, they too had food waiting when they returned.

Jon & Janet and their entire crew do a great job with this event. I think this is my 17th straight since I first joined HSTA in 2000.

PS Some heavy T-storms are predicted for tomorrow, some of us from NE Ohio who were going to come down Thursday may delay until Friday.

Yes, Jon and Janet do knock themselves out making sure the Fly By runs smoothly. I know I appreciate all the hard work they do each year organizing the event! We will get there mid-ish afternoon tomorrow. I am looking forward to seeing all the usual suspects.
