I've booked a room and I'll be there Thursday.  JFF is fine with me, because fun was always my reason for going.

I got Syd's email reminder the other day and was already planning to go. Just waiting to check on a couple details then I'll book the room. Hopefully the weather is good, after the long hot summer I'm always concerned that fall arrives cold and wet ending the riding season early.

I'm trying to reserve a room right now... 2:46PM Monday 9/17 and have been on hold for 20 minutes now. ?? After 11 minutes I hung up and called again. It went immediately to hold then voice then ring over and over and over?
I'll hold on a little longer? After all I can still do "stuff" on the computer while I hold.

I had to come back to add to this post. This was possibly the MOST frustrating reservation I've ever made!!  >:( All total I was on the phone for 25 minutes. Once I got to the reservation person, I don't remember her name but it took her 3 minutes to find MSTA and the #3123887. Once it was done I got the stay on the line win 20,000 Choice points. By then I was frustrated but not nearly enough. She asked me the usual stuff and then I said I was very frustrated in that this reservation took over 20 minutes. The line went dead. All I can think is she hung up on me!!!  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(
GRRRR!!!

Sorry to hear Brick, I called mid day on Mon/Tue and got through quickly and when I said I was with a group she said "MSTA" and got me the correct rate.

At the MPFB hotel in Marietta they had a problem for months last year unable to access computers and take a reservation. I asked the person one time "how do you even stay in business with that kind of service breakdown.

If you still go to the event, I strongly encourage you to seek out a manager at the hotel and tell them about this. I don't think some of these businesses are aware of just how bad their customer service is.
