If you'd like to share a camping cabin (equipped with 2 twin beds with linens provided), I have one reserved for Friday and Saturday nights. Almost as much fun as sleeping on the ground but you don't have to carry a tent and sleeping bag.

sleeping on ground = fun ?  who knew ;)

If I ever "camped" on a bike this would be the way to do it. Never been big into camping or carrying my sleeping quarters on my back/bike.

I spent two nights prior to visiting the FlyBy in campgrounds. The first was a National Forest Service campground called White Rocks. It is located on the Virginia/West Virginia state line pretty much in the boonies. It's a pretty decent campground with running water and has 35 sites. I was there on a Wednesday and was the sole occupant. With my senior pass, the fee was $2.
The second night was in a little roadside National Forest Service campground about 5 miles from Marietta. I wasn't sure I'd get a spot there, even on a Thursday night, as it has only 4 sites. But I did. I've seen the campground on previous trips to that area and decided that might be an ok place. It was a bit of a disappointment. The bathroom, featuring pit toilets (I don't generally mind that) was out of toilet paper. I DO mind that. But the nightly fee was only $5 with my senior pass. The rest of the disappointing part was the family two sites away that let their kids run amok at midnight. I'd hit the sack at around 10:00 p.m. and was awakened by kids yelling at a little past midnight. But it's supposed to be quiet time from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. I was not happy about the noisy fellow campers. The only good thing was that it was very convenient to the FlyBy headquarters.

I plan on attending this event.  This would be my first MSTA event.
Will the hurricane have any affect on the event?
Thanks,
Chris

That area appears to be on the far edge of potential impact, when I saw your last post about attending I was curious about weather and checked, no major rain storm in their forecast or mention of impact from Florence.

I'd expect the event to go on as planned, MSTA folks are pretty tough.
