There is snow cover in the area and the high today will 36. Warmer tomorrow but I expect there will be some lingering snow on Sunday. That can make normally easy sections more difficult of course. There is one very challenging section coming off of Big Walker mountain even when dry. That's the part that is not big bike friendly. However it can be easily bypassed and depending on remaining snow/mud we may all have to.

Most excellent day. Prolly would not have been fun on a big bike with "streety" tires though. No serious mishaps although one of our group dropped his bike (and his butt) in a 24" deep mud hole. His airbox was full of water but it started after draining and drying out. Hooray! He was kindly cool though after getting wet.  At one point my front fender was momentarily completely submerged in chocolate colored water but fortunately the deep hole wasn't very long and the mighty DR350 just chugged on through.  :P That was close.

Lots and lotsa mud, a little snow, some ice but all-in-all a lot of fun. Won't be more 60 deg days around here for a while I'm afraid.  :(
